Our homes
The Associated Nursing Homes for Adults at 2 Staszica St. in Wieleń, also called St. Joseph’s Home, are situated in the Wielkopolskie Province, in the Czarnkowsko-Trzcianecki Poviat, in the Noteć Valley. The Homes are run by the Franciscan Sisters of the Family of Mary. They are designed for 354 Residents, both men and women. The Residents are elderly people, mentally or somatically ill persons, as well as physically disabled adults who need assistance round the clock.

The Associated Nursing Homes run by the Franciscan Sisters of the Family of Mary in Wieleń started their activities in 1933. The Homes are situated in Wieleń on the Noteć River, within a fenced-off area of 12 hectares (30 acres) where a complex of 6 buildings with a total floor space of 8,500 square meters (91,500 square feet) is situated. The Residents have at their disposal a day care room, living rooms, leisure annexes, kitchenettes, dining rooms, a library, a family doctor’s office, rehabilitation rooms, occupational therapy rooms, terraces along the Residents’ rooms, and a garden where the Residents can cultivate their own flower or vegetable beds as a part of occupational therapy. Our Homes offer also access to a chapel. On the premises of the Homes there is an large old park with an area of 2.56 hectares (6.32 acres), numerous walking alleys, fountains and a pond. Beautiful, soft landscaped areas around the buildings provide leisure and walking possibilities for the Residents.
